Body/Mind Therapy
Body/Mind Therapy uses somatic practices to help you connect with your body and consciousness to release old wounds, often rooted in childhood trauma and/or challenging life events. Many individuals hold unresolved negative emotions, which are stuck in the body and hinder personal growth, leading to feelings of depression, anxiety, and a constant fight/flight/freeze response.
Understanding the problem is crucial for creating a coherent narrative about our lives (e.g., "My parents were emotionally unavailable, so I attract unavailable partners"). However, insight alone won’t lead to the healing and change we seek. For instance, even if I know why I attract such partners, I may still do so. While our mind holds stories and limiting beliefs, the body stores the associated stuck emotions. The body is the territory of the subconscious. When we can access and surrender core wounds that are buried deep in the subconscious, we achieve deep and lasting transformation.
